Link building & digital PR
Link building and digital PR: authority you earn, not buy.
Links from relevant, trusted websites are still one of the clearest signs that a business deserves to rank. We earn them the way a real business would, and we will not buy the kind that get websites penalised.
- Local and industry links a real business would earn
- Stories and expert comment journalists can use
- Every link reported with its address

Typical searches we work on
One link from the right place beats a hundred from nowhere.
A link from your trade association, a local newspaper or a supplier you actually work with tells a search engine something true: other real organisations vouch for you. A hundred links from websites that exist only to sell links tell it the opposite, eventually.
For most local businesses the opportunities are closer than they think. Suppliers, customers, sponsorships, memberships, local press and community groups will often link if someone simply asks properly. We do the asking, and for larger campaigns, we create something worth writing about.
- Links from sites your customers have heard of
- Nothing that breaks search engine guidelines
- Relationships you keep after the campaign
- A clear record of what was earned and where

How a link campaign works.
Review
We look at your current links and the gap to the sites that outrank you.
Shortlist
You get a list of realistic targets: who, why they would link and what we need from you.
Earn
We make the approaches, write the pitches and create anything needed to justify the link.
Report
Links earned are recorded and their effect on visibility is tracked.
What we will not do. Paid links, private blog networks, large-scale link exchanges and guest-post farms all fall under Google’s link spam policies. They can lift a site briefly and then cost it its rankings. We do not use them, and we will tell you if a previous agency did.
Questions
Link building & digital PR: straight answers.
Something we have not covered? Ask us directly, a person will answer.
How many links do we need?
Enough to be credible against the businesses you compete with, which for a local firm is often a modest number of good ones. Chasing a target number is how sites end up with links that hurt them.
Are paid links ever acceptable?
Paying for advertising or sponsorship is fine, provided the link is marked as sponsored. Buying links to pass ranking value breaks Google’s policies, and we do not do it.
How long before links make a difference?
Search engines need to find and assess new links, so the effect usually builds over weeks and months rather than days.
Does a local business need digital PR?
Often not. Local and industry links are usually enough for a local market. Digital PR earns its keep when you compete regionally or nationally.
Can you deal with bad links from a previous agency?
We can assess them. Search engines ignore most poor-quality links on their own; where there is a real risk, we will explain the options.
