Taxi & private hire firms · York & Yorkshire
A taxi search is made on a phone, in a hurry, by someone who will ring the first believable result. We put taxi and private hire firms in that position for the journeys that pay, airports, stations, nights out and account work.

Typical searches we work on
The person outside the station at midnight is won by the map: a name, a rating and a number that dials. The family booking a 4am airport run is a different customer, they compare three firms, read reviews and want a fixed price before they commit. Most taxi websites serve neither: one page, a phone number and a form nobody answers.
We have done this work for York Cars, a relationship that began in 2011, and for Leam Taxis, whose search and Maps presence was rebuilt around the phrases that book airport runs. Both are on our work page, with the figures reported for them.

What makes the difference
What we would usually put right for taxi and private hire firms, in order.
Twenty-four-hour firms should say so; firms that stop at 2am should say that. Wrong hours lose the fare and earn a bad review.
Airport transfers, station runs, nights out, long distance, executive and accessible vehicles, each is a separate search with a separate customer.
Fixed airport prices and a clear way to get a quote. Firms that hide prices lose the comparison to firms that publish them.
If you have a booking app, the website should send people to it; if you do not, the number must dial from every page.
A text after the drop-off with a review link. Drivers who ask collect; firms that do not are outranked by firms that do.
So you know whether the airport page, the station page or the map produced the call.
Licensing. Outside London, taxis and private hire vehicles are licensed by the local council, and a private hire vehicle may only take pre-booked journeys through a licensed operator. Marketing must not suggest a private hire car can be hailed in the street, and the operator licence details belong on the website.

What we usually combine
Questions
Something we have not covered? Ask us directly, a person will answer.
Locally, yes. The ride-hailing apps are weak on fixed-price airport runs, large vehicles, account work and anywhere outside the city. Those are the searches to own.
Yes, one for each airport you serve. “York to Manchester Airport taxi” and “York to Leeds Bradford taxi” are different searches, made by people who want a price for that journey.
Because the phone call usually starts on the map or on a search result, and the website is what people check before they ring back a second time.
Yes. One of the two taxi case studies on this site is in Leamington Spa. The approach is the same wherever the ranks are.
